Have you ever wondered what fan engagement really looks like in Formula 1? Who's P1, and who's getting lapped at the back of the pack?

Wonder no more, because the F1 Fan Engagement Tracking Project is here.

Across the 2024 Formula 1 season, I’ll be analysing the fan engagement outputs of all ten teams on the grid.

Focusing on digital fan engagement (and activations at the Melbourne Grand Prix) I'll be tracking newsletters, fan clubs, driver engagement, video content, social voice, and more, all to see who actually centres their fans and who sees them as a simple source of profit.

ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Georgia!

I have a PhD in Sociology from the University of Sydney where I specialised in fandom and celebrity studies. I’m passionate about fan-centered engagement strategies and encouraging brands to think about their audiences as people, not customers.

I have previously presented on fan engagement at SXSW Sydney, and have been used as a media expert on fandom for over 50 stories in both Australia, and internationally.

I’m currently based in Sydney, Australia and can usually be found loudly discussing pop culture with a coffee in hand.
